Why Should We Choose A Carriage Ride Through
Highland Park?
For many years carriage rides has been the choice of transportation
to view the miraculous sights of Highland Park at Christmas
time. At a slower pace, you will be sure to see all the wonderful
sights of Dallas’ most beautiful homes. Lotsa spots carriages
have been lucky to work with several different carriage companies
throughout the years and are now proud to have expanded our
carriage company to be able to accommodate you and your family
for an extravagant, relaxing Christmas light tour.
Are the prices the same for different party sizes?
The carriage price ($160.00) is for parties up to 6 people.
This price is per vehicle, not the number of people in a
party. A couple can reserve the carriage, or multiple carriages
can be reserved for larger parties.
We have small children and are concerned the hour may be to
long?
The reservation is for an hour. This includes approximately
five minutes of time at the beginning of your ride to allow
you to get comfortable and allow time for pictures.
When considering how many people are in our party, are children
counted equally?
Children two and under may ride on the lap of an adult, however
they are still counted when considering the number of people
in your party
Why are the rides by reservation only?
By using a reservation system, we can offer a higher level
of customer service by giving you the attention you deserve.
This also is the safest way to manage multiple horse and
carriages.
How will we receive our conformation?
The person making the reservation is who’s name will
be your conformation. After payment is received, you will receive
and email stating that payment was received.
What if we need to change or cancel our reservation?
Cancellations and Changes need to be made by calling the carriage
phone # at 903-268-3290. Prior to December 1st, cancellations
may be made without penalty. Changes after December 1st will
incur a $25.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made within
48 hours of the reservation WILL NOT be refunded.
Changes can be made prior to December 1st as long as availability
applies. Changes cannot be made 48 hours prior to your ride
time.
How early before our ride should we arrive?
You should arrive approximately 10 minutes early to check in
and take care of any last minute details or meet with others
in your party.
Should we tip our driver?
YES! Only if you feel you received exceptional service. Please
tip your driver after your ride. A 15% - 20% cash gratuity
is customary for outstanding service. And “Thank You” in
advance for taking care of your personal chauffer.
Will we get to see lots of lights?
Your carriage driver will make every effort to ensure you have
the most memorable and enjoyable ride. He or she will provide
you with the safest route possible while also allowing you
to see some spectacular holiday displays!
Can we bring food and drinks?
Yes you may bring food and/or beverages if you wish. Lids are
recommended for all beverages, your ride may be bumpy at
times.
Are blankets Provided?
Yes, blankets are provided for your comfort, however you may
choose to bring additional blankets if you wish.
Is holiday music available?
Holiday music is also provided on each carriage. You may also
bring along your favorite CD. If you wish not to have music
playing, please inform your driver.
What about inclement weather?
The carriage rides will still operate in a safe and gentle
rain. If weather is dangerous, then Lotsa Spots Carriages
will have to cancel the rides for that evening. If carriages
must cancel due to weather, you will be given a full
refund. Please allow 5 to 7 days for all refunds.
