Owners and drivers Jodi and Paul Fry have been around horses all their lives.
Jodi's family owned horses all of her life. She was fascinated with horses, and learned to ride and care for them from her older sister and began showing at the age of 4. From there she attended many playdays, trained her own horses and eventually made it to LSHSRA High School Rodeos. From a very young age, it was easy to see these wonderful creatures would always be an important part of her life and her family.
Husband Paul has been a horse enthusiast as well for many years, he served the Hunt county and surrounding areas working cattle and being a true Texas Cowboy. In 2003 he began driving in Downtown Dallas when Jodi was 8 months pregnant with their youngest son.
The couple has 3 sons, Tylor, Logan, and Zackary. The Fry family also consists of a minimum of 23 horses. You can visit the Ranch website FRY FAMILY FARM for more information and pictures of all their wonderful horses.
In 2003 while attending college to become a Veterinarian, Jodi was given the opportunity to purchase and drive Ranger, a 1/2 Percheron 1/2 Paint gelding. He had been working in downtown Dallas that previous year, and proved to be a natural at his job. Ranger is the most docile of creatures with a wonderful willing attitude. As you can see from pictures he's also a real beauty.
In 2005 they purchased a 2nd carriage as well as an additional horse. Opie is a Belgium cross who is a veteran carriage horse, who has preformed many events around the downtown area as well.
Lotsa Spots Carriage business is still growing. A beautiful wagonnette was purchased in 2009 along with Kate and Babe, the Haflinger team, to accommodate larger groups for parades and Holiday light tours.
